The Afghan Support Program provides a range of services and resources to support newly arrived Afghan families, the Afghan Support Program also helps Afghan families who have been relocated to St. Louis, Missouri, from other states. This specific support is designed to help these families adjust to their new surroundings in St. Louis, providing resources and guidance as they settle into their new community. Whether families are arriving from within Missouri or from out-of-state, the program ensures they receive the support they need to navigate local systems, access essential services, and integrate into their new environment with confidence and stability.

Transportation and Financial Support
– Rent Assistance: Covers up to three months of rent and one security deposit (with a rental limit).
– Gift Cards: Provided to each person in the family each month until food stamps are approved.
– Bus Pass: Provided per adult in the family. (For English class and Sewing Class).
Application Assistance
– Assistance with applying for Food Stamps (SNAP) and Medicaid.
– WIC (Women, Infants, and Children) support for pregnant women.
– RSS (Refugee support Services).
