Afghan Women’s Sewing Class
Afghan Women’s Sewing Class
The Afghan Women’s Sewing Class, a collaboration between the International Institute and Afghan Community Center, empowers Afghan women with sewing skills and business training. Participants learn basic and advanced techniques and take a two-hour business class to start their own ventures. They are eligible to apply for the Afghan Entrepreneurship Grant to receive a $20,000.00 grant to launch their business, with continued market support.
With over 10 sewing machines and fabric donated, this program helps Afghan women build financial independence and community. We look forward to sharing their success stories as they grow their skills and thrive.
Every Mondays 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM and 12:30 – 2:30 PM
Every Thursdays 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM and 12:30 – 2:30 PM
